Passports of Republic of Kosovo - Types of Passports, Validity timeframe & Replacement

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (Ministria e Punëve të Brendshme) in a few days will start issuing first passports of Republic of Kosovo.

Types of Passports

• Ordinary Passports - Passport has dark blue colored cover.
• Diplomatic Passports - Passport has black colored cover.
• Official Passports - Passport has dark brown colored cover.
• Travel Document - Travel Document has light blue colored cover.

Validity timeframe

Passport is issued in validity timeframe:

• 10 years for citizens above 18 years of age
• 5 years for citizens from 3 to 18 years of age
• 3 years for citizens who has not reached 3 years of age

Replacement of Documents

• Personalization of UNMIK Travel Documents ends in the third week of this month.
• Validity of documents issued before this date is valid until their expiry date.
